Workshops and Courses: 1-day workshops 

Bookings

To secure a place on a half or one day workshop or course the full fee must be paid before the start date.

Cancellations and Transfers

All Workshops & 1-1 training.

If you cancel a booking, if the start date is more than 14 days away, we will refund the fee paid less a 10% administration fee.

If you wish to transfer and the start date is more than 14 days away there is no additional charge.

The date you wish to transfer to must be confirmed via email within 7 days of the date the transfer was requested. If a transfer date is not confirmed within this period, you may forfeit any fees paid.

We allow one transfer per booking. We reserve the right to retain all monies paid if after one transfer you are unable to attend.

If you cancel within 14 days of the start date, we are unable to offer a refund or transfer as materials will have been ordered.

Credit Balances (all courses and workshops)

If a credit balance has been agreed (funds to be transferred), the credit balance must be used on another course or workshop within 6 months of the request to transfer.

Minimum Student Numbers

All courses and workshops have a minimum student requirement of 5 students. If there are 5 or less students we reserve the right to cancel the course up to 3 days before. In this case we will offer you a full refund or transfer you to another course. If payment has been made by Gift Voucher an extension will be offered to the date on the gift voucher.

Payment policy

Payment can be made online using Credit or Debit Card at the time of booking through the website. For balance payments we accept credit or debit card or bank transfer.

Cancellations by us

We reserve the right to amend or cancel courses/workshops.

If the course or workshop does not have the minimum attendance levels, we reserve the right to cancel the course/workshop.

If we cancel the course/workshop we will endeavour to give you at least 3 days notice and you will have the option to transfer to an alternative course/workshop or have a full refund of the fees.

We reserve the right to refuse to process an order for any reason or refuse service to anyone at our sole discretion.

Postponement by us

If a course is postponed for reasons such as staff illness or situations out of our control (such as government guidelines) we will make every reasonable effort to reschedule the course and let you know as soon as possible.

Materials and Equipment

The course/workshop fee includes the cost of materials where applicable.

Unless stated otherwise for the specific course/workshop the facilities are only available for use during the course/workshop hours.

Refreshments will be provided as specified on the workshop/course information email you receive.

Age

There is a minimum age of 16 for all courses and 11 for the young makers workshop -  for attendance on all courses and workshops. 

Babies and toddlers are not allowed in the training room at anytime.

Allergens & Specific Needs

If you have a known allergy to a particular timber or a specific need please let us know at the time of booking and we will try to adapt the course you are attending to suit these needs. We recommend contacting us prior to making a booking if you have such needs. All requests for adaptations to courses to accommodate specific needs must be made us by email and not less than 7 days prior to the start of a course or workshop. Failure to disclose any allergens or specific needs may result in you being unable to attend the course.

Course Location

You will be advised of the course/workshop location in your booking confirmation. 

Gift Vouchers

Gift Vouchers are non-refundable. If you cannot attend a workshop or course that you have booked using a Gift Voucher, we will offer a transfer to another workshop or course at a later date (subject to the minimum transfer/cancellation policy as above). Only one transfer is allowed. Confirmation of the date to transfer to must be confirmed within 7 days of the request to transfer.
